Born and raised in Dublin, I have devoted my life to the game of soccer from a young age. Coming through the academy at the prestigious St Kevins boys club, I then made the move to Premier league club West Ham United where I spent 5 great years, playing with and against some of the top players in the world and also captaining the clubs U23 side. I was also fortunate enough to represent my country at international level between the ages U15-U21 and played in two European Championships at U17 & U19. Following my first ACL surgery in the 2013/2014 season, I made the decision to come back to Ireland and played for 6 seasons in the League of Ireland Premier Division for big clubs such as Bohemian FC and Sligo Rovers. During this period of transition, I completed a Business and Sports Management degree through the open university while also obtaining my coaching qualifications through the FAI and UEFA. At this time I was working with some of the best young talent in the country at Bohemian FC, several of whom are now professional players at premier league clubs and have represented Ireland at international level .

Following two more serious knee injuries in my mid 20s, I decided to move to the US in January 2020 and focus on a career in coaching. Last year I worked with Charlie at LFC IA Illinois and we built up a great relationship and shared similar a similar passion and views regarding player development. After meeting Nick, who I was familiar with through our St. Kevins boys connections back in Ireland and hearing about the current and future plans for the club I knew it was a great fit and I couldn’t wait to get on board. The club is full of fantastic soccer people, is highly ambitious like I am and shares the same core values and beliefs that I have had throughout my playing and coaching career. Within the USL platform, I am looking forward to being able to pass on my knowledge and experience to our talented players at Chicago city within our academy and pre professional teams and helping them on their journey as they continue their soccer education and look to achieve their goals and dreams in the game.
